When Trail of Dead first performed in Austin on Congress St., the lineup was Conrad Keely and Jason Reece.
Later they added Deanne Rowley for one or two shows, and then Kevin Allen as a second guitarist, and then Neil Busch on bass. For awhile different folks joined them on stage, working a four track packed with samples, or extra instrumentation. Denver Smith of Wizard Town infamy, Nikki Holiday from Prima Donnas, and Jason McNeely all joined them at different one or two off shows, around the time of their first album on Trance.
Now their band has exploded into a six or seven piece orchestra.

Here's a recording of Trail of Dead from 7/95, when the group was just Conrad and Jason. It was recorded at a house show they played in west campus with Glorium. This was released on the Austin Live Houses cassette compilation in 1995, GHR 08. Trail of Dead also appeared on the Capitol City Signals comp, GHR 20, and released a 4 song cassette, GHR 12.
